Thermally cured MoS₂ and PTFE dry film lubricants — thermally bonded, no in-service re-lubrication, rated for demanding operating environments.

The dry film advantage

Liquid lubricants attract dirt, wash away, evaporate, burn off, or migrate out of the joint. Solid film lubricants don't. Once applied and cured, they become part of the component — a bonded low-friction surface that performs from cryogenic temperatures up to 500°F continuous.

PTFE or MoS₂ — which one?

PTFE wins on friction coefficient (0.04 vs 0.05–0.20), chemical resistance, and moisture environments. Use it for anti-galling, fastener applications, and anywhere chemical exposure matters.

MoS₂ wins on extreme contact pressure and vacuum environments. Use it for high-load sliding contacts, high-precision bearings, and heavy-duty hardware where pressure is the primary concern.

For applications spanning both profiles — high load AND moisture — hybrid formulations like Everlube's Lube-Lok and Lubri-Bond combine the two technologies in a single bonded film.

The process

  • Surface preparation — cleaning and pretreatment to ensure maximum adhesion
  • Application — precision spray application to engineered film thickness
  • Thermal cure — oven cured at 350–650°F to drive out solvents and crosslink the polymer
  • Inspection — every batch inspected for coverage, thickness, and adherence to spec
